Red Beard Café
With its laid back retro style, warm Scotch oven and cool summer courtyard, Red Beard Café is a favourite year 'round haunt for locals and visitors. We make all our food on the premises using local organic ingredients where possible. Our menu includes organic fair trade coffee from Coffee Basics, cakes, biscuits, pastries, sausage rolls, soups, focaccias, antipasto plates, cooked weekend breakfasts, and Red Beard Music Feasts. Customers are invited to view our historic Scotch oven with its cast iron doors and massive domed brick ceiling. Red Beard Café is open Tuesday to Sunday and most public holidays from 8am to 4pm.
Whether you are looking for fabulous coffee, a sneak peak at the 120 year old wood fired Scotch oven, an indulgent weekend breakfast, a lingering lunch, or even just a haven to bask in the warmth radiating from our oven, the Red Beard Café in Trentham has rapidly become a culinary destination for locals and Melbourne day-trippers. Full Historic Sourdough Bakery Tours with a choice of lunch or devonshire tea and optional take home packs are also available if you book at least 7 days in advance.
Trading hours
Open 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm.
