Spent a couple of days up in Sydney last week judging sourdough bread as part of the Sydney Royal fine food show - my second year as a judge - thanks to Roger Haden for being prepared to have me back.
A small but knowledgeable team (Jesse, Bret, Stan and myself) gathered In a beautifully presented room above the Clydesdale Stables with well-organized bevy of stewards in attendance.
It's a serious business - judging - all entries carefully sampled and judged according to the Borda Count Method and entered into our iPads. Gold, silver and bronze medals awarded and the show champion decided.
I was fabulously well looked after by my good friends - Dave & Rob Allsop at their place in Fairlight. Spent a fabulous day with Dave mucking around in boats on the Hawksberry.
Sydney's a fab place!
