Sept 2008 - Red Beard is the 2008 Winner of the Hepburn Regional Tourism Association Tourism Awards - Food and Hospitality Category
Sept 2008 - Red Beard welcomes well known local chef Chris Wilding. Chris uses locally sourced organic ingredients and our historic scotch oven to produce dishes of outstanding flavour, texture and appearance, served with the best local wines and beers. Café Red Beard is now open every Saturday night from 7pm with weekly feature menus. Each Red Saturday Night showcases local produce such as Spanish pork braises and pilafs featuring Fernleigh Farms' organic pork, and Victorian lamb shanks roasted in tomato and thyme over Wombat Forest Organics mashed potato. Dinner is served with the best local wines & beers at a long table with old and new friends. Book early on 5424 1002.
