Sept 2009 - During September Red Beard is hosting The Print Exposed - an exhibition of photogravure images by Silvi Glattauer and Polaroid transfer images by Lynette Zeeng. The Print Exposed is part of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale.

June 2009 - Wanted: retro café chairs and small retro caé tables. We can offer $20 per chair and $80 per table, but must be in good condition and the right vintage (circa 1950s-1960s). Contact info@redbeardbakery.com.au

May 2009 - Red Beard now provide sumptuous take home catering

May 2009 - Historic sourcough bakery tours now available with choice of lunch or devonshire tea and optional take home pack. Bookings at least 7 days in advance are essential.

Dec 2008 - Red Beard will close from Monday 22 December 2008 to Friday 2 January 2009 so we can make urgent repairs to the flu of our 120 year old Scotch oven. This will enable us to capture more steam from the baking sourdough loaves, giving them an even thicker and crunchier crust. We'll also take the opportunity to make some cool changes to the cafe, so come in and check it out in the New Year. Have a safe and happy Christmas, Al and John Reid

April 2008 - Red Beard sourdough was featured in the April edition of Country Style magazine in an article titled 'The Fabulous Baker Boys'. Country Style is available at most newsagents."
